maybe it's cuz i'm still high, or maybe it's because I was distracted by my actual job, I accidentally posted 2009's round 3. But, consider it mended as the 2008 draft is what follows:
Round 3
1 Blind Dogs -- Juan Francisco (3B CIN)
2 RIC Anchormen -- Max Scherzer (SP ARI)
3 Attack Pigeons of Connecticut -- Jed Lowrie (SS BOS)

5 Ballyhooly Ballers of Cork -- Steve Pearce (OF PIT)
6 Pølskå Pandas™ -- Phillippe Aumont (SP SEA)
7 Blind Dogs -- Andrew Brackman (SP NYY)
8 Modesto Nuts -- Jair Jurrjens (SP ATL)
9 Pølskå Pandas™ -- Jesus Montero (C NYY)
10 Modesto Nuts -- Madison Bumgarner (SP SF)
11 Rhode Island Quahogs -- Engel Beltre (OF TEX)
12 Modesto Nuts -- Brett Anderson (SP OAK)
Best Pick-Jair Jurrjens – Jurrjens has put in 2 very solid seasons already in his young career. His rookie campaign in 2008 was very strong going 13-10 and logging 188 innings pitched as well as having a 3.68 ERA. He increased his numbers across the board last season. In nearly 30 additional innings pitched, he allowed fewer hits, walked only 5 additional batters and struck out 152, an improvement over the 139 he posted the year before. The Ballers will be looking for another strong season from him again and dodged a huge bullet when it was reported jurrjens felt inflammation in his shoulder. Luckily those reports appear to be overblown as Jurrjens has made his regular starts thus far in spring training and not had any lingering issues.
Worst Pick – Steve Pearce: Pearce showed some things late in 2007, (hitting .293 in 63 at-bats). That prompted the Pigeons to take him in 2008, though he was never a highly touted prospect before that. Since then it’s fair to say his career might already be over. In ’08 Pearce exhausted his rookie eligibility with 109 at-bats, batting a robust .243 and followed that up with a blistering .206 in 168 AB’s in 2009.
Still could be best: It might be biased, well, actually it’s not, but Jesus Montero has all the makings to be the next top slugger in baseball. He has drawn comparisons to Mike Piazza for his power ability but inability to field his position. If he moves to 1B/DH, some have already begun to compare him to Frank Thomas because of his immense size -- 6’5” 230 lbs. The Pandas are trying not to be too excited about him, but rumors are that the Polska Stadium, The Panda Palace, has already erected a 40-ft. statue in centerfield of Montero that comes out of the ground when he slugs a homerun. It’s an idea that was spawned from Notre Dame’s infamous Touchdown Jesus, hence the statue’s name: Homerun Jesus. Also receiving votes: Madison Bumgarner.
