By John Radzinski

Best Pick: RIC Anchormen, John Danks SP -- Overall the 6th round was not particularly strong. Only Danks has made any major contribution at all thus far. His future seems to be as a middle-rotation innings eater who will probably end his career with about a .500 record. Johnstradmus invisions him becoming a Chris Young type at best. Good, but nothing special, but in the right match up, you could do worse.

Worst Pick: Brent Clevelen/Daric Barton -- Both Players were not really the best prospects. Barton had a higher prospect status, but Clevelen had shown in 06 some ability to hit for power. However neither player panned out for the Pandas or NK Friars. Both players are most likely never to have an impact.

Still Could Make it: Dexter Fowler -- Technically, Fowler has made it. But he's only scratched the surface on what might be a high ceiling, depending who you ask. Some think he'll be a Willy Tavares or Michael Bourne type capable of decent average and tremendous speed on the base paths, while others think he'll be the Hanley Ramirez of the OF, combining both wiry power and speed. Baseball America indicated in 2008 he would be a middle of the order force, but that might be years away at this point. We'll see what happens this season.

% in MLB- 9 out of 12 for 75%

  3. The Brent Clevlen pick was so much worse than the Barton one. Barton was a good prospect for many years and I don't think Clevlen even cracked any top 100 lists. That pick came out of no where for me at the time and I thought Barton would be a solid big leaguer.
